IMPARARESICURI is the national information and awareness campaign on safety at school Promoted by the school sector of Cittadinanzattiva which has among its objectives the ones to contribute to the safety of the Italian schools, to work for the rooting of a culture of safety and health of the most young people, create stable links between schools and the land for the joint management of risks related to the specific area of belonging.
IMPARARESICURI was launched in 2002 following the collapse of the school "Francesco Jovine" in S. Giuliano di Puglia, and over the years has extended both from a territorial point of view (witness the growing number of schools involved) and for content and areas of intervention, care of: safety education, welfare education, prevention of violent behavior at school, development of active citizenship and legality.
The Campaign is held under the patronage of the President of the Republic and in partnership with companies. In addition, over the years it has been sponsored by the Ministry of Education, University and Research, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Policies , the Department of Civil Protection.
The articulation of the Campaign includes:
- monitoring of a sample of school buildings, for which data are made known through a National Report presented each year in Rome;
- promotion of the National Day of safety in the Schools which takes place every year in November.
- Edition of the Prize of Best Practices in Education for Safety and Health "Vito Scafidi", with the collection of projects realized by schools on these issues and the awarding of the best ones.
To prepare the match day, but also to start more structured and long-lasting educational paths, the school sector of Cittadinanzattiva provides, to schools that request it, a kit with tools and educational materials.
